Direct Fair Trade
Our intent? To trade fairly and directly with small scale producers in developing countries. Here's how we do it:
Focus on Farmers
The farmers we know work very hard. Trading fairly with farmers means we need to appreciate this hard work and the risk involved with raising and selling crops. To keep us focused on farmers we:
- travel and visit,
- establish direct relationships based on trust and respect,
- create economic opportunities for small-scale producers,
- pay a fair price and invest social premiums in the farmer's community,
- support sustainable environmental practices,
- promote independence, education and positive work conditions.

Operate with Transparency
We're saying our trade is fair. You want to know it's true. Transparency is a way to be accountable. Here's how we operate with transparency:
- Meet face-to-face with producers, co-operatives, and exporters to ensure the price of each product is distributed as fairly as possible,
- share the names of trading partners, and our entire purchase and payment history,
- provide opportunities for producers and consumers to offer feedback.
