Frutos de los Andes is tropical fruit dehydrated by Fruandes Ltda. Mango, pineapple, banana, coconut, papaya, and physalis (golden berry) are grown on fertile mountain slopes by small-scale farmers. Fruit is dried without additives in Fruandes' organic processing facility.

Fruandes Ltda. was established in Colombia as a creative response to the needs of displaced women and their children living in Cazuca—a refugee settlement on the outskirts of Bogotá, Colombia. Fruandes purchases fresh fruit from local, small-scale farmers paying them a fair wage for their harvest.
Thirty-five percent of mothers in Colombia are the head of their households. Many of these moms are marginalized and living in Cazuca, a refugee district of Bogotá. In light of this, Fruandes provides positive employment for some of these women.
Through production and distribution of Frutos de los Andes, Fruandes has provided community, fair wages, health benefits and school tuition for employees and their children and has seen many successes in the lives of their staff.
Fruandes employs approximately 45 women full or part time throughout the year.
