Enrique. The Face of Level Ground Trading Peru

Meet Enrique.  During our second visit to Pangoa in 2005, Enrique hosted us at his ‘charca’ (farm) near San Martin de Pangoa on the eastern slopes of the Andes mountains in Peru.  Beyond Pangoa to the East is the Ene River and the expanse of the Amazon Basin.

Enrique farms coffee, cacao, and fruit trees.  His farm is certified organic and part of CAC Pangoa, the FLO certified coffee and cacao cooperative that provides a sure market for these two export commodities.  The ability to produce premium quality organic certified coffee ensures farmers and their community in this remote part of Peru receive vital fair income for their crops.
